Memorial Day
Fort Snelling National Cemetery
Minneapolis, Minnesota

On May 26th, 2003, I visited my father's grave at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery.  I also attended the memorial service and took a few photos of this beautiful cemetery and of the ceremony.  The theme for this year's ceremony was "Prisoners of War, You are Not Forgotten".

There are currently approximately 160,000 persons buried here and there have been over 5,000 new burials here between January 1, 2003 and Memorial Day, 2003.
