The Veterans Day Mini-Reunion of the Mobile Riverine Force Association (MRFA) and the 9th Infantry Division was held at the Ramada Inn Airport and Thunderbird Convention Center in Bloomington, Minnesota near the Mall of America and the Fort Snelling National Cemetery. It was mostly a non-formal get together from November 12th through the 14th.
On Saturday, November 13th a wreath laying memorial service was held at the Fort Snelling National cemetery. A special and moving part of the memorial service occurred when MRFA member Bob Snitgen (A-2) brought a LIVE BALD EAGLE. Bob works/volunteers at an eagle sanctuary south of the Twin Cities along the Mississippi River. Mike Clark and the great Honor Guard from the Anoka Vietnam Veteran's Association was there again this year as well.
