Minnesota Fall Colors Trip, Sept 29, 2006

On September 29, 2006, I took my mother (Edith) and her friend (Joanne) on a trip from St. Paul to Duluth to view the fall colors.

This was a 375 mile round trip and we got home just before dark.

I took several photos and they are shown here.  Just click on the small image to see the larger photo.

Most of the photos were taken on a state highway 23 (see map) that runs through a fairly unpopulated area of the state and along skyline drive in Duluth.  Joanne even remarked that she was not aware that there were still places where you can go so long without seeing a house or a store or anything but trees, lakes & rivers.
